Christine Pomponio in a new kind of contest

One of the first ladies of the figure division, Christine Pomponio, is returning to the stage...but not the physique stage...at least not yet. She will be competing in the Petite USA contest on August 10-13 in the Elite Ms. Petite category. Right now they are doing a People's Choice contest where the winner will automatically get a spot in the Top 16 and proceeds go to the Stop Soldier Suicide organization. It's a $1 a vote and you can vote as much as you want to.

Update on Christine’s pageant from last month (my apologies for the late post)

She placed 4th Runner-up in the Elite Ms. Petite USA division, putting her in the top five in the country…just like she was top 5 in the figure world when she did her last IFBB show in 2006 (4th place to be exact). Obviously she’s not as muscular as she used to be, but she still got herself in great shape and clearly stood out as one of the fitter ladies on stage, regardless of division. She had mentioned doing a fitness show again down the line is not out of reach. I could see her doing bikini, wellness or MAYBE masters figure if she ever does another physique show.
