Like many BB's I have tried numerous brands.
Maxs-overpriced and poor qaulity, mixes like concrete.
Musashi-hugely overpriced, tastes like shit
Aussie Bodies-Poor qaulity, not cheap either.
Vital Strength-Good qaulity, mixes easily and tastes good. can pick it up cheap if you chop around-probably the best Aussie protein available in terms of bang for your buck
If I had to pick a brand I like it would probably be Dymatize. Although not Australian their products mix well, taste great (although they do have some flavours you couldnt pay me to try such as Pina Colada!!). If you're buying from the right place you can get it for a very reasonable price. And with all protein, the more u buy at a time the cheaper it is.
But all I basically use now is either unflavoured 20kg bags of WPI and Casein. Ill sometimes grab some of the flavour sachets too.
www.proteindirect.com.au Bulk buy flavoured and unflavoured protein with cheap delivery rates, especially considering the weight of some deliveries.

My personal experience with brands like Musashi and Maxs are they're full of sugar. I'm not a fan of high carbs so looking for lean/low calorie supps are the way to go i reckon.
Posted in another forum but has anyone had any ProGenics protein powder? I've been hearing about it a lot on the radio show by Dave n John and been looking for it around the web. Know of any Aussie distributors?

It'd be interesting to see a full accurate breakdown of what's in it as would be required if sold in Australia. But to me it looks like an expensive whey protein shake. By those labels it allows 15g per hundred grams for the enhanced array of bioactive nutrients. so thats about 4.5g per serving for flavoring and enhanced array of bio active nutrients.Last edited by Sledge; 03-18-2009 at 04:26 AM.

not a big fan of musashi, aussie body etc.... anything you can get in the supermarket shows thatt it's probably targeted towards the naive individuals who only see the word protein and think it's all the same...(ps.my opinion anyways)
I did use Top Nutrition once (I think it was owned by Danny Chau??) but it was expensive and mixed like cement....
I haven't used any aussie brands of late...although that Sustained Release Forte from one of the links above looks promising...might gove it a go when im done with my current protein.Last edited by mdvsony; 03-18-2009 at 05:27 PM. Reason: spelling mistakes.

The best by far
www.fitnesscentral.com.au
www.bioflex.com.au
www.bulknutrients.com.au
I have been a massive fan of Fitness Central's WPI, it tastes awesome, great bang for buck and its delivered the next day. Marcus really does go out of his way to work with you.
Bioflex and Bulknutirent.com.au are both great too. I have used Bioflex's RecoverX a lot and I seem to recover a lot better using that than anything else.
