Same here. Great book! He runs the newspaper in St. Lucia and is still with Mae Mollica. Came across this recent video where he's interviewed by a family friend. Sounds like he's not so hot on the current crop but that seemingly holds true for the entire 70's crowd.

I'm curious about the part of the video where Rick Wayne mentions this cover. He said Chuck Collras didn't belong there. They called it a photo bomb...

The magazine cover notes the show as the 1971 NABBA Mr. Britain? No, I guess that's just referring to content in the magazine and not a caption of the cover shot.

Chuck Collras was 4th in the short class at the 1971 NABBA Mr. Universe, Frank Zane was 1st in the short class at the 1971 NABBA Pro Mr. Universe, Franco won the 1971 IFBB Mr. World, Arnold won the 1971 Mr. Olympia...

I'm going to guess this pic was taken at the 1970 NABBA Pro Mr. Universe? Arnold was the overall winner at that show that year and Dave Draper was 3rd in the tall class. But no mention of Zane, Wayne, Columbu or Collras at that show? When and where was this pic taken? :-/

I'm not sure what show that was. I think Rick Wayne mentioned it in the video saying people told him he should have won. It looks like the two photos were taken at the same time of course so I guess they didn't kick Collras out.

I don't think there was any question about Collras being kicked out. Look at him.

What I'm guessing is that Rick had it wrong about the photo bomb or that Collras wasn't supposed to be there. Still, fantastic video.

Unfortunately, I think that was just Rick jokingly saying that Collras was not of the legendary status of the others and didn't belong in the photo.
