Greatest Bodybuilding show ever - discuss

I mean the best you've ever seen/watched i terms of standard of line up and number of competitors and their quality.

This isn't the O or Arnold Classic but in terms of the sheer quality and depth of line up I think its impossible to beat;

I have heard the Night of Champions 2002 and specifically Marcus Rhul at his best ever was breathtaking, but cant seem to find video clips of it

I was just about to come in here and say the British Grand Prix. I don't know shit about bodybuilding shows, but I've seen some stuff from that one, and it's better than all of the other stuff I've seen from other shows.

100% agreed,why isnt there a british grand prix anymore and even if there was probably none of top guys would be there cause thet are waiting for the O or the arnold,which i hate,im still in favour of a points system to determine the bodybuilder of the year,instead of dexter,jay,etc doin 1 show a year.

Basically it began to run at a loss, in the 2002 one there were about half capacity, here's an old article from cnp I dug out that explains the math, essentially there used to be a half decent European circuit but its all dropped off now, now what we have is 'The British' which is the UKFBB which is an ameteur show where the winner of the overall gets a pro card, whereas before there was a Pro competition aswell;

The first Arnold classic 1989, Rich Gaspari won, it wasnt the first time I had seen bodybuilding by any means but it was the first time I ever saw one on tv that had at that time such quality of not mainly lineup but programming, you know the whole production

I still remember Arnold interviewing Rich after and rich saying he had the flu right before. So since he won Arnold asked if next year he would get someone to sneeze/cough on him to ensure he shows up in that kind of shape again.

Nah, Branch has no chance, Jay is yesterday, and Wolfe has a great physique but no, not enough lower lat, hams calf

I'll give you dex and kai but they arn't the size and standard in 1999 British Grand Prix were, the only possibility that might have broke the top three in the vid I posted is Phill Gift, and he'd have to come in better condition than ever before

Kai, not big enough? :O New videos on MD show him and Oscar training. Kai has visible abs, at 308 lbs! (According to Oscar). And u cant say anything bad about Kais conditioning - he comes in shredded
