If Mat looks different now, that his lifestyle choice. Maybe he accomplished what he needed to and wanted to get back to work on other aspects of his life he felt were important. I hung out with Mat quite a bit around the time he went pro and no matter what he's up to now you can't take away the fact that he was a big mofo in the day and that's an accomplishment worthy of my respect.

Those were a couple years before his accident (I think the 2000 or 2001 USA weekend).

Wow, I met him in 2006 wayyyy different. he was doing incline bench with like 4 plates and went down to 3 and a 25 or something like that. However one of the 25's wasnt put on and he tore his peck, hasnt been the same since. I do wish him well. He was a really nice guy to me and my family.
