Protein Powders
What do you look for in a Protein Powder? Does it need to taste good? mix well? be a specific kind of protein or just be cheap?
Ive just got Gaspari Myofusion Protein. I put two scoops in a hand shaker and filled 3/4 with water, it mixed together like a dream. One thing i cant stand is lumpy, chalky protein that doesnt mix well.
I bought the strawberry and cream flavour, and it beats Species cherry vanilla which was my favourite. The cost was pretty much the same as every other brand name 2kg tub, so it wasnt really expensive compared.
If you are looking for a change, definitely try this one. I wasnt sure what to expect from Gaspari, but its pretty damn good!
Any of you guys got a favourite protein powder? or one to stay away from?!

I use Muscle Milk and Dymatize for the most part. Love the mocha latte from MM. I also use the blueberries and creme and banana to make protein pancakes.
Unless there's a bench press contest I joined and didn't know about it doesn't matter how much I bench.

i look for a quality company and then i look for price...i use Scivation Whey...you get 10 pounds for about 60 dollars...and it tastes pretty damn good too...the 10 pounds will probably last me a year too, so it's pretty economical...i typically only use protein powder as needed...i try and eat as many calories as i can...not a fan of drinking them (dieting totally changed my thought process on calorie consumption)

I've been mostly using ON Whey as it's got pretty high levels of protein, tastes good and is reasonably priced.
I've been looking into a proper whey protein isolate recently though, got some Isolyse coming over the pond which should be good.

Mixability, taste, and above all a brand that is cGMP and has good QA/QC.

ON Natural Whey 2 scoops in water or juice right after lifting. Good taste, no extra sweeteners or junk, great price - $40 for 5.15 lbs.

Depends on what you're doing, and how your metabolism is. For those of you who get hungry right after a protein shake, go with Legend's #2 choice and get a blend, something slower digesting and able to provide sustained amino acid release (aka very fast metabolism people).

I use ON pro-complex and love it (60grms of protein per serving)..but it's expensive for almost 5lbs. I have also used ON nitro-core 24 which is time released and slow digesting also (24grms protein per serving). It taste better than pro comlpex but since it has more carbs I feel bloated on it at times. Not sure if it's the time of day I'm drinking it. I try to stay away from to much much carbs.
I'm looking for something just as good if not better that doesn't hurt the pocket as bad or gives youmore bang for you buck! Anay suggestions?

where are you from Manbeef?
species does a whey with 0% carbs and it mixes well. also it doesnt bloat you at all. If I couldve bought species in the UK I probably would never have tried the Gaspari.
