If little girls are sacrificing their looks in the name of size then that is their fault, not the sport's fault. Very easy to point the finger and say "that is what did it to me" rather than say "I did this to myself". There are just as many messed up faces in the lighter division as there are in the heavy ones.

in contest shape most fbb (small or large) show worn out faces due to the severe dieting and heavy loads of cardio towards the end of the prep .... you call this masculine .... i call this fatigue

It'll go away and their faces look damn good after some cheese cake, burgers, fries, pizza and ice cream

The problem is, it's not that simple. With adding femininity or perception of femininity to the judging then it can be a huge factor.
If you have one lady with superior symmetry, hardness, leanness and overall shape, But the judges also have to take into account "femininity"or are instructed to base decisions on the "new look of women s bodybuilding" then the superior bodybuilder looses to the pretty girl. Bodybuilding is subjective enough as it is, but add another subjective factor like femininity and it just adds to an already problematic situation. How about womens bodybuilding is judged exactly the same as the men. Shit thats controversial enough.

NOOOOO What I said was that two women equal in every aspect of what the judges are instructed to judge women's bb on are equal from their calves up to their traps, then they look at all the extra's facial attractivness, do they STILL RESEMBLE A WOMAN! did they take the extra time and select a suit that is flattering to their physique, what does thier color look like (tan) are they dark enough? , what does their hair look like? is it a flattering hairstyle one that doesn't make them look like "Big Bird" or has every color specturm under the sun "Rainbow Brite" . All that then comes into play and very well should! Go to the iFBB and NPC websites and see they have posted the judges criteria.

Are they the ONLY TWO competitors on the stage? if so that is a weak turnout, otherwise present me the entire lineup and I'll give you JMO.

Women need to bring to the stage the body and image...and BODYIMAGE of change. You have to be on stage and be judged against everyone else, you can't sit on the sidelines and wish for a big change if all there is to go on is the same look...etc. COMPETE GIRLS!! COMPETE !!!DO IT!! MAKE THE CHANGE>>BE THE NEW FACE AND NEW BODY TYPE!! LET"S DO IT!!!

FBB is a business. Looks matter. Masculine faced over sized women don't sell well. FBB is dying. We can debate all we like but the numbers don't lie. Like it or not . . . looks matter. Why is this news?

SS, it has nothing to do with my personal preference. To infuse the sport with more socially appealing women would do the sport some good. That is all I am saying.

Nicole and some of the recent cross overs from figure are more feminine looking and appealing. I bet they will aid in a resurgence of FBB more than hurt.

REALLY? In what way? She is leaner and harder than any figure girl i've ever seen. Its all subjective. Some people like women's bbing some don't. It is a cult sport and alwyas will be. Hell, show people of Jen Hen in contest shape and they will think she is too muscular

Feminine is a very relative thing, jarhead.
I personally find big girls with sharper features far more attractive than a crossover figure chick who thinks she is going to set forth a new era with her softness. So what might be appealing to you does not necessarily apply to everyone else.

We may not be marketable to the mainstream in the sense that you may never see us plastered across the cover of a reputable mag...but then again who cares about mainstream. If you care about mainstream because that's where the money and exposure is, then I beg to differ.

i agree its all subjective. ive seen figure gals as lean & hard as Nicole (Debbie Leung) that could compete in both divisions. I meant it as a compliement to Nicole- she can do both!! prob bikini too
