Kai Greene's 2009 Mr. Olympia Routine

I saw Kai at prejudging and could tell right away he was a few steps away from his Arnold conditioning, still I had him ahead of Branch and Phil that night. I didn't get to see the finals in person, but it looks like he faded quite a bit, and from the shortness of his routine, looks like he knew it too.

I read a few times that he was advised to keep his routine conservative. If he did anything like the 09 Arnold they may have gave him a hard time i.e. worst placing. Remember, Kai did say he had 2 routines and did not know which one he was going to use. He did look a bit flat and overtrained. The 09 Arnold he was much harder. I still think his best conditioning despite being 30 lbs lighter in the muscle department was the 07 Colorado Pro that he won. If he can bring that condition with the mass come this September, he will be Mr O.

It is abit though, but the novelty of his posing routine is wearing off...standing on your head doing a split...not my cup of tea...where are the shots from the old days...zane, arnold, corney etc...those guys flowed on the stage...

his routines are getting slower and slower. his best was at the NY pro a couple years ago.
