Too Loud?!!
LA FITNESS...
Here in my little suburbs town of Portland, Vancouver, opened an LA Fitness 2 years ago. I was invited by a regional manager to a comp membership to any LA Fitness club in the USA. I thought WOW! THAT'S pretty cool! He said someone like me makes the club "LOOK GOOD and would be good for business!" "How nice" I thought.....
Then he said they're having a grand opening and could I come a schmooze for them. "Sure!" It's the least I can do I thought. Besides, I LOVE gym rats, muscle heads and people in general especially when they want to talk about me!!! LOL! I did and had a great time!
Went and had a great time with the people there and the managers. I thought, "OK. I guess I can train here once or twice a month." I travel a lot in my business and mostly I cater to 24HR Fitness as they are most everywhere I go, yet not everywhere so an additional club to train in like LA Fitness would be great.
Well..... At my first visit to train at the new LA Club in my little town, I walk in and am greeted like a Greek God. I get right to business and start to train with my partner, The Ronster Monster, I call him. Well after a few sets, the manager came by and said "Hey Popps", that's what they call me here so it wasn't an insult to me, "Hey Popps. Could you keep the grunting down? People are complaining you're making too much noise....." "HUH?!!"" There's no yelling or loud grunting in this club" "HUH? You gotta be kidding?" "No and some people are already complaining about the noise you're making....."
I wasn't even giving it my all yet! Just a few grunts and groans, high fives, "OH YEA'S!!!" and knuckle knocks!
Well we got quiet after that and quickly loaded up our gear and quietly left.
This isn't and endorsement for 24 HR clubs, yet I have never been asked to be quieter by any club managers there. I have had a few complaints over the years, yet the club managers have all said that I was fine and they'll take care of it.
Gym bums wannabes, cardio bunnies come and go, yet muscle heads are always constant. "ALWAYS" there. "ALWAYS" working. "ALWAYS" sweating. "ALWAYS" the hardest working guys in the gym. Other guys "ALWAYS" want to be us! YET.... they don't do the other "ALWAYS" to get there.

La Fitness generally bites my massive love instrument. I used to work for them, and for a time, one didn't, had a cool training manager- ex powerlifter who practically worshipped me- loved my strength levels and even showed me how to add an extra 45 to the Hammer machines by removing the grommet. Those were a great couple of months.

Our 4 area Gold's just got sold, supposedly are going to transition over to be centered on "fitness."
I may switch to them because I just want to get toned...this is an inside joke for you Bodyhard! lol
