Hi Tammy and hi everyone else on rxmuscle.com Thanks again for all the great encouragement and support I received after meeting so many of you at the N.A.'s...it really was special to me to be able to meet so many people I've only seen 'from a distance' (i.e. on the internet!).
I'm also really happy to have this thread and I hope that everyone feels welcome to post any kind of questions on here, both just about my life, but also if you are training or dieting and need some help and would like some questions answered.
I train and coach primarily women for weight loss, body shaping and competition and truly enjoy the whole process of assisting people work towards and see their lives becoming better by doing something they didn't know they could do. I believe lifting weights and getting strong is a huge confidence booster for women.
As for your question Tammy -- a quick answer -- the islanders (Japanese) on the island love female muscle...I receive so much positive feedback it's hard to believe that there are places out there that don't like women with muscles. The approximately 50,000 Americans living on the island (mostly military and families plus civilians supporting them) also really admire the dedication and commitment it takes to build this type of physique. I constantly have people approaching me and asking me to help them achieve something similar...the truth is I believe we receive the responses we attract with our attitude...and I truly love training and improving and I hope it shows in my attitude when I'm out in public. Bodybuilding is and should be about health and wellness -- and as an athlete I want to mirror that concept and motivate others!
My first pro show? ....well I'm pretty excited if there is a new pro show coming to town in Arizona! I'm just very thrilled to be a pro and and am planning on hitting a show as soon as one comes available to me! I just want to get out there and have some fun.....
Some of you might have seen this but here's just one clip of what happens in Japan when Joseph and I go out (he is 6'4" and 290# btw so we kind of 'stick out')...

Looking forward to answering any questions and I hope helping the women (or men) here with any questions they may have....

Omg that video was awesome! welcome to rx.so glad to have you here! I am excited to compete with you. You will do so well as a pro! I have heard you are such a doll and thats so easy to see in all your posts. I can feel your positive loving energy! I agree with everything you wrote in your post. The journey is what you make it. It is very true that what you put out there you will get back. I also believe life has more meaning when you make your purpose more about others not just yourself, and its obvious that you do that. I wish you an awesome offseason. Like I said im looking forward to 2010 and meeting you!

Sorry for the lengthy post, maybe I should have put it in 2.....oops...
DEBBIE - thank you for your kind words and it makes me happy to hear such positive feedback. I look forward to mtg. you.
HEATHERGRACEFITNESS - thank you. i can hardly wait to experience a pro show! woo hoo!
BLP - you're too nice LOL -- however, there is a reason for everything, and every year i've tried to analyze where i could improve and come in better the following season. i'm going to continue this same approach in the pro ranks, but yes i think you're right, the Americans did appreciate my physique. But this was also an accumulation of many years of learning what works too...that said i'm just happy to have made it 'to the other side'.
2HOT4U -- hey no i didn't receive your email -- try [email protected], my apologies! the direct link from my website doesn't always work....
EVERYONE ELSE - THANKS for your welcome!
ok now to the good stuff - the recipe! LOL (for you tammy)...i have a few different ones, depending on if it's diet time or 'off-season' but they're all healthy....diet ones are just more uhmmmmm SPLENDA heavy LOL:
Now remember I have lots and lots of protein in my diet..I eat A LOT! BUT this recipe can be adjusted for your own diet...
Fiber 1 raspberry protein pancakes:
300 grams (weighed) egg-whites (more or less for various amts of protein)
60 grams (weighed) Fiber 1 (you can also do 30 grams weighed for smaller amount of carbs)
70 grams (weighed) frozen raspberries
Splenda
1/2 package of sugar free raspberry/berry/orange (your choice) jello powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
Preheat a non-stick pan on low-medium heat. Spray well with Butter Flavour Pam.
Blend the Fiber 1 into a fine powder (mini-blender). Add Splenda and baking soda and mix well. Add raspberries. Now pour in your egg-whites and mix together to form a batter.
Pour into the pan and cook SLOWLY (it'll be a big pancake). While the one side is cooking take 1/2 the jello powder and sprinkle it on top then spray with Butter Flavour Pam.
Flip the pancake when it is solid enough to turn over. Spray again and sprinkle with the jello again.
It should take about 10 minutes to make this meal.
Once it's done put it on a plate, spray with some butter spray if you like....dip into sugar free Walden Farms syrup or fruit syrup...and YUMMY.
You just had a fruity dessert! mmmmmm
Fiber 1 60 grams - 22 grams carbs, 4 grams protein
Egg-whites 300 grams - approx. 30 grams protein, 1-2 grams carbs
Raspberries 70 grams - 5 grams carbs
*I exclude the fiber when I count.
not bad when you're dieting and you can adjust to taste of course! Even my hubby likes these so give it a try!
