I HOPE Freeman takes home the Sandow. He is nearly perfect. I personally don't like Vic's physique. I think he appeared at a transitional stage of bodybuilding and that explains why people think so highly of him. I mean come on, the guy hits a front lat spread and looks like a ball. That's not bodybuilding. Tony hits the same pose and has the perfect X shape. You simply can't compare them.

I've never been impressed with Victor either. And it's not a personal taste thing, I can't see why he's so praised. He's always looked pretty average to me. His midsection is weird, and something about it makes the rest fo his body look weak.

Victor is praised because he has the most complete and aesthetically pleasing physique in the world.
There's a reason why Victor has such widespread respect within the industry. He is a true talent.

I'll respond by asking why do you think he has won the Arnold, GNC, NOC and placed 3rd and 2nd of the Olympia (should have won in 07)?
He has round muscle bellies, great taper, wide back with detail, full chest from top to bottom, good quads with shredded hamstrings, striated glutes, decent calves, round shoulders, great triceps, peaked biceps....what else are you looking for?
The guy knows how to dial it in and doesn't have any weaknesses. He's the last bodybuilder (IMO) who looks like the genetic elite that came out of the 1990s. He's won shows and placed very well for a DAMN GOOD REASON.
I'm not saying he is better than anyone else; I think anyone can win at any time. I'm just curious as to why you would single him out for being "overrated" amongst all pro bodybuilders. Why is Victor overrated compared to any of the other top guys? Explain.

Good point. He has won and placed well in a considerable amount of shows. But, should Jay have won the Olympia two years ago? Or hell should he have even placed ahead of so many other guys (including Vic) in the past years? My point is, placing high or winning shows don't necessarily make you great. They do help, but correlation does not equal causation. Last year's O, I thought Freeman should have placed higher. IMO he is great. Just because he came in 5 instead of first, doesn't alter my view that he is better than Jay, Dex etc.
I agree that he has great bodyparts and very few poor ones. But you also must consider how the entire physique comes together as opposed to simply having great bodyparts standing alone. To me, his legs and mid section throw off his entire physique.
I don't agree that he can dial in, because I'm never impressed with his conditioning, but then again great conditioning hasn't been a big part of bodybuilding as of late. But at best I'd give him mediocre conditioning (as compared to his peers) unlike someone like Dex who has great conditioning.
Why is Vic overrated compared to his peers? Because he is pushed as being better than them when he is not. That's my opinions. He is not better than Heath, Jackson, Wolfe, Freeman, Greene.

when u say you can't see him as Mr. O, in 2007, did you honestly think Jay looked better than him? Is Jay of 2007 what a Mr. O should look like? Cuz if not, then Victor was Mr. O of 2007
