Honestly....hack squats, leg presses, leg muscle extenions, stiff leg dead lifts, all of these will contribute to develop some good hamstrings. Each one of them is important because it goes by the simple rule, to develop any part, you have to hit it from different angles.
That is why we have different exercises for one muscle, otherwise for chest we will be doing just bench and or for legs we would be doing just squats(jus giving an example).
