How do you think BobChick is doing as Athlete's Rep?
I've been catching up on my podcasts and just caught an episode of Pro Bodybuilding World with the following quote:
“I thought he was already I pro. I just didn’t know who he was. I just figured he was a pro from Europe or somewhere else.”
-Bob Cicherrillo, IFBB Athlete’s Rep referring to Zak Kahn
Is it just me or does it seem like he should be more on top of things than this? How do you look out for the concerns of a group of athlete's when you don't even know who makes up the group? Should he change his title to Administrative Rep?

Bob is only out for one person and that is Bob. If he really wanted to be an athlete rep he would be pushing for more ideas that would move the sport forward. I think he has his own agenda and that is all.

Great question, MsGuns. My guess is NO but I'd be interested to hear from anyone with inside info. There used to be talk in the past about Ben Weider's President status and no elections. Perhaps its just a business markleted to look like a democratic organization?

And a Congressman doesn't know all his constituents either, but how many active male pro bodybuilders fall under his purview?

The work he does is pro bono.
Unless there's a bench press contest I joined and didn't know about it doesn't matter how much I bench.

I think Bob is a little more interested in furthering his own public face, than actually representing professional bodybuilders.
The IFBB Athletes Rep should be a full-time, paid position. Not something you do on the side whenever you feel so inclined.

I think the rep should be somebody who isn't afraid of rocking the boat if it is in the best interests of the athletes. Bob & Shawn before him just seem to tow the company line instead of truly looking out for the athletes. I think someone like Milos would be a good rep.
