I began have symptoms of low testosterone many years ago. My weight dropped quite a bit after that, but since finding out about my low testosterone I have restored my weight to what is was before it dropped. The results were no effect on my testosterone, and I am now at a higher amount of body fat and less muscle compared to before the weight drop, even though my diet is great as is my weight lifting routine.

I know you are located in new york, but I am wondering if you have ever done, or do coordinated care with say a primary care physician? I live in Northern virginia.

I have tried comid and HCG to see if we could get my system up an running but it failed.

Would I be too young for you. There are some local endos who would be willing to treat me, but I want someone who knows there stuff. They admit there knowledge on trt is very limited, and they basically wouldnt know what to do besides giving me androgel and send me on my way...
That may be all you need. Yes, you can have your Dr. call me.

Yes, recheck the labs with Antithyroglobulin antibodies. If you have no symptoms then you may not need treatment.

Tretin Cream shouldn't raise your liver enzymes. You need a liver Sonogram and Viral Hepatitis test. You can take Milk Thisle to cleanse the liver. You're dosing the testosterone wrong. If you take it every three weeks, your level will be good for 10 days and you'll crash for the remainder. Make sure you have the liver tests before you continue Testosterone and your Doc says it's OK.

Dr. Barrett, thanks for taking the time to answer questions. That's awesome.

I live in Westchester NY (2 hours away) and I'm interested in becoming a patient of yours for TRT. How often would i need to come in for a check up if i was a patient (TRT)? Would I be able to come in for the first visit then be treated remotely? maybe come in every 3-6 months or something?

I ask because I figure a round trip to your office would be about 5-6 hours and require me to take a day off work. i can do it every once in a while just not once month.

    Thanks again

Dr B. Im curious on your view of self medicating trt? Im having a hard time finding anyone in my area willing to put a young guy on trt. Ill be 25 soon and ive had low T since I was 18 years old ( hadnt used steroids or nething ) coming in around 330 at that time and recently I tested in the 240s.

To be quite honest im getting incredibly frusterated and simply wish to self medicate starting at 100mg cyp a week and slowly moving to 200 weekly tops. I would of course have an AI on had and possibly start it low dosed EOD as a precaution.

I know this isnt exactly ideal but im sick of suffering from low T, its hitting me far more mentally then it is physically and starting to effect my relationships with both my girl and friends. I figure every 3 months I could get a blood test and adjust from there or possibly walk into a new endo and out right tell him I am self medicating and see if he would monitor my blood tests.

    Silly idea? Just frusterated.

    Dr. B.,

I thought I saw on one of the other threads in this section where you recommend the use of 500 IU of HCG, subcutaneous, twice a week during "a cycle" . Help me do the math here, I have 10,000 usp vials and I am mixing it with 10cc of bac, so that makes my prescribed dose of 0.5 ml = to 250 IU per injection, correct?

What are the real benefits of taking HCG during a cycle? I'm using a 1 ml syringe and switching the 1/2" 27 g to the 1" 25 g needle as supplied but that doesn't seem like subcutaneous to me. Should I be injecting the HCG on the same days I use test cyp? (I'm currently prescribed 3/4 cc every 4 days of the test cyp.)

Hey Doc, Could you tell me how risky is IGF-1? Is it as dangerous as Insulin? If I screw up the carbs with the IGF-1 would I have the same scary outcome as on the Insulin?

    Dr Barrett,

i was wondering if you could possibly answer a question for me? I'm 49 and was injured in an auto accident about a year ago. I've had 7 surgeries in 15 months. My last two were nasty. January 8th I had Auotogulous chondrocyte Implantation on my right knee. Two huge implants. I had Carticel implants. Also 3 months ago I had my 12th rotator cuff surgery. I won't bore you with more details.

My question is as followed. I'm on 2 ius of pharm Hgh daily and I'm on a cruising dose of testosterone Enathate. I'm very sensitive to prolactin and Estrogen. I was thinking of adding around 250mg of deca a week to help increase collagen production. My question is if I run 2.5mg of caber a week would this effect this process. I know EQ has a greater effect on Collagen production, but I'd need to be on something for both Estrogen and Prolactin. Would the addition of an AI product effect this? Thank you for your consideration on answering my question.
