I actually was doing a 4 day split 1. chest/tri's 2.back/bi's 3. Shoulders Calves 4. Legs Quads and Hams Mon through Fri, weekends off
I just switched it up to 1.Chest/tri's 2.back/bi's 3.Shoulders Calves 4.Legs Quads Hams 5. Chest and Back. Mon through Fri Weekends off, On the Chest back day I am incorporating higher rep stuff similar to what is mentioned. I think doing the split this way will hopefully get a little more depth in upper chest and a little more pop in the lats before april.
I am starting to really notice a nice drop in bodyfat almost daily on the 40,40,20 split new vein showing up just about daily..lol

You do have the structure and potential bro. It's all there. Go for it. Train and eat. It's as simple as low calorie-protien rich foods, low carbs and high cardio. PERIOD. Thats the basics of bodybuilding. Don't let anyone else fool you.

Oh. Empty stomach cardio upon waking is the BEST cardio. I havta be at work at 0705 hrs so that means up at 0500 cardio from 0515 to 0600, shower, dress, pack meals and out the door by 0630 the latest. It sux but winners find a way and I know you're a winner so... Let's get it!!

hit that early empty cardio like Blak said, dont know much about the show your doing but if your a true natty ieNo clen t3 hgh make sure the show is truly tested, not one of those were they pick 5or 6 guys and ask them if they take gear.I just preaped a guy for the tx state natty and he got 2nds in heavy as a true natty, but that show was as natty as the olympia,so do your homework ,train hard ,diet and just do your best,it's all about personal achievment not just "how do you think i'm gonna place"good luck to ya!!

I think from the pictures of the past winners it looks pretty legit, There are plenty of shows in So. Ca. so if someone wants to cheat than that is weak, but its all good I am really doing this for myself anyway, and I think will try my hand at both novice and masters, also gonna aim for the first show and than hopefully tweak for the other show 6 weeks later so an initial 12 week prep and second show is 18 weeks. So from now until the new year will stay on same diet and then will clean it up a notch more and add more cardio once I get back from ski trip on Jan 7, I am used to doing 40 minutes liss after each workout, so will probably add another half hour before work and or at lunch time. If my bodyfat estimates are right I have about 22lbs of fat currently so hopefully I can get a few more lbs off between now and the 7th, then clean up a little more and tweak it weekly as neccasary

I will start my log once back from Skiing
I had to run out of town unexpectedly the day after xmas, still got in two weight workouts and two cardio workouts and managed to lose another lb and tighten up my caliper pinch test another mill while being taken away from my normal daily diet...the good news is my metabolism seems to be firing along nicely and actually am noticing more and more vascularity and cuts almost daily. Gonna get three more weight workouts (W,TH,Fri) before leaving on Ski trip will probably loosen up the diet while at the snow but can't imagine it wil matter much as 4 days of snowboarding should burn up just about anything I eat as long as I don't go too nuts. I will start the contest prep on Friday the 8th I don't think I will do Keto as I still seem to be dropping fat at about 200 grams of carbs a day, At first the plan is to up protien a little more and add in an additional 30 minutes of cardio before work in the AM and some abs in the am as well as I currently don't train them in my afternoon weight/cardio training. Anyway thanks for all the tips I'm sure I'll be looking for more in weeks ahead!
