Mix high and low reps , on your squats , on your presses , you will feel the difference , and i'm not talking about a high rep workout one week and a low rep the next week , combine those reps in the same workout. .. That did wonders for me ...Doing hamstrings and quads on different days didn't help me , but it has help others .You will find your anwser.

Here is where I am going to commit some weight training heresy. You say you have trained for eight years + with the same routine set up. First… Take a break! Take an entire week off. Then train legs twice a week for 4 to 5 weeks. Train hamstrings one day and Quads another. Use less conventional mass builders the Front Squat and Stiff Leg deadlight. When you squat use less weight and go deep (Ass to heels). Use a high rep range (double digits 10+). I know what you are thinking, but more often than not this will shock a muscle into growth. By high rep I mean ranges in 10-15. At end of workout use exercises that really recuperate not just fast twitch but slow twitch as well. Incorporate jump squats, lunges, and step-ups into your program. Try super-setting most of your routine after the mass building exercises. Regarding supplements use a volumizer if not already. I don’t know your overall diet but if trying to grow increase carbs + calories.

if you break down your leg workouts that you posted on the first page, you are only doing 2 working exercises for your quads, and 1-2 for hams. and not very many sets per exercise. i know everyone has been saying squats...do more of everything. ever heard the expressions squat til you puke? i would say incorporate lunges, squats, hacks, front squats, leg press, do 3-4 of these excersises for about 5 sets, all out, everything you got. when i train legs im in the gym for about 2 hours, and will either puke or feel like im gonna pass out. for big legs you have to be willing to dedicate the time, and pain to make them. until then its just not going to happen.

Not trying to jack the thread but I'm sort of in the same boat. My outer sweep is coming along great but I have litte to no teardrops.

I've read that toes turned out extensions and wide stance squats are the ways to get them but after 2 months of hitting that hard and having solid gains on my other quad parts, still no teardrops!

Recommendations from the teardrop having crowd please.......

Wide stance squats and you have to make sure that you are going deep with them too, you are probably going to want to make sure to plant your feet almost as wide as they can go on the rack
High Rep is for pussies- SisterSteel

A closewr stance and deeper squat depth will make the quads and hams grow as long a s you add a rep every week for 2 weeks then add 5lbs and do 2 reps less then build up the reps again. The lower quads respond to deep squatting and deep leg presses .99% of peoples leg press and squat is shallow if you pulls the knees as far back as they will go in the leg press and keep the stance close and feet straight ahead you will feel it in the tear drop and they will grow.

High reps work but really it is the weight that counts 10 deep reps with 450 lbs builds mass but 200 for 10 wont it is better to do sets of 2-5 or 4-6 to handle heavy weights and build strength first. When you can handle 5oolbs then build the reps and then tell us how big your legs are.
The reality is that may take 2-5 years to reach 500lbs .Thats what it takes there is no secret routine.
