I belonged to one for a couple years in NY. Good strength equipment, boxes for squatting/kettlebells/hammer strength machines, dumbbells up to 180, lots of quality stuff. Never been to any other World Gym's though

I don't know if I would actually get a membership, there is no way that any World Gym could top this www.jakkedhardcore.com

one opened up here in Chattanooga last year they offered memberships with contracts for 9.99 a month for 2 years then after three months they closed down. some people were still charged member dues even after they closed the location. it was on the local news. they had the best equipment though it was sweet for three months.

i will say Chattanooga is not a good market for a bodybuilding gym. just not enough bodybuilders that live here in town. every one is loyal to there home gyms that we have been attending for years. that said fitness gyms like the rush fitness is booming with the high school kids.

World is still kicking. I go to a World gym in my town. It is a great , well equipped gym. Dumbells only go to 130 but we make due and to be honest I could not go over those at this point in time.
If it feels good do it to me.

I belong to a World Gym in PA. Tons of equipment and they never sold out. I can use chalk, grunt, whatever.

The World Gym in Vegas last about two years. Could never touch the Gold's on Flamingo, which it was rather close to.

here is the one near where I lived last year. ironically their personal training manager is a world record holder in the IPF. from their website.
World Gym Hamburg NY is a 24 Hour (m-f), $2.5 million dollar brand new state-of-art Health Club catering to general fitness population, family, and mature exercisers. World Gym is a powerlifter free facility. World Gym does not permit powerlifting, grunting, or weight dropping. So if this is your first time joining a health club or just want to escape from the stereotypical health club, World Gym is definitly for you.

I belong to 2 Worlds in the L.A. area. Both joined a group of club owners who refused to do the Planet Fitness route. Gyms here in L.A. are struggling as the demographics lean to soccer and eating Doritos while watching MMA.

I joined World Gym back in Feb. this year and i've never looked back. It's great, environment is awesome at all times of the day, and the best part is its open 24/7. And like others have said, this World Gym too isnt going down the "planet fitness" way, there's one of those in the area as well. some big dudes, train at this World Gym, good motivation!
