Laser hair removal
Anyone ever had it done? I know it takes a couple of rounds for the hair removal to be permanent. How permanent? Can the hair ever grow back again? What if you had it done after a cycle of aas and then did more cycles. Would the hair return?

I've had my underarms and brazilian lasered! How many treatments you get depends on the individual regarding how dark your hair is and the quality of laser! I have quite a few light/blond hairs and so the laser hasn't taken those!

I had plenty done , got hairier during my BB comp times ... did neck to shave line , shoulders , chest , abs , flanks and latter did a couple sessions on my back ...
It didnt permanently stop hair growth , reduced it significantly for maybe 3-4 months.
What it did do and is still a bonus to this day is it changed the sensitivity of my skin / hair follicles and now when I shave there is no irritation. Kinda like guys who get shaving rash on their neck & face would benefit from it immensely. It worked a treat to calm down my back skin.
It is hormonally sensitive so if you use that stuff it will affect it negatively.
I got pretty chummy with the girl that did my lazer and in conversation she told me that she did 'everything' on herself ... sadly I did not pursue confirmation of these claims :P

They do recommend maitenance treatments and I have been told that hormones play a role in new hair growth, which is what would have happened in your mums case!
I think its very individual! I have been told some women get 3 treatments and never need any maitenance, all hair is gone permanently. Other people need several more treatments and require maitenance. I definitely am glad I got my laser done. I have a few blond hairs under my armpits, but there is no hair follicle holes....it's perfectly smooth. My brazilian still needs another treatment just to remove a few scattered hairs but I haven't seen any new hair growth from both areas and its been months since I had my last laser session!

I get ingrown hairs easily on my bikini line. That's why I was wondering. I know it's expensive and if it's going to be an ongoing process I'm not investing the money.

It's definitley worth it for that reason. Laser removes ingrown hairs and also removes any scarring from previous ingrowns. It helps to stimulate collagen so its great overall for the skin. I love this fact about it too, I never get ingrown hairs anymore.
GM if you are not using aas, then you should be able to remove all your hair permantly especially since you have dark hair! It means that you will get better results than say someone with fairer hair such as myself. Darker haired people need fewer sessions.
When they refer to needing maitenance sessions, its only like one session every 6-12 months!

That's kind of opposite of what I would have thought. Having dark hair I have quite a bit. I've been waxing my face since I'm 16 yrs old.

Well she must be happy cause shes keeping up her maitenance!
In all honesty, I think laser is worth it! I am really pleased with my results!
GM if you want to try laser, got for it. You won't know until you try. You could be one of these people who only need a few sessions and its permanent. But you will definitely reduce most of it and have no hair follicle pores and no ingrown hairs or scars! Got nothing to lose by giving it a go! Just don't go to "Hairfree clinic"...they have a shitty IPL laser and they aren't very good! Find somewhere that has "laser", that works the best and the fastest!

You need to make sure they have a lifetime guarantee in writing. Like others were saying, it is hormonal, so if you take anything, the hair could grow back, but I have several places here that guarantee it in writing and if they remove it and it comes back they will redo it for free. The problem is a lot of places don't have a powerful enough laser to truly kill the hair follicle. You really have to do your research on reputable places in your area.

I have did the old wax job before for hair removal. Worked well and hurt like hell.

No one here in Australia will guarantee against hair never growing back due to hormones! It's called "permanent hair reduction" here for that reason.
I don't see the big deal. If you have an area done and get rid of all the hair and then a little bit grows back later down the track, simple just go and get another laser session! If I need maitenance sessions then I will happily get them done because I am so happy with having had laser! I love having smooth hairfree underarms and pussy! I never get ingrowns and if I get a fake tan then I don't have the tan solution settling into the pores where the hair grows because there is no hair! Your skin looks like baby skin and I love it! Wish I could get my legs done but I have far too many blonds, it would be a waste of time so I will leave that area alone!

TB, I didnt realize they didnt have that there in writing. THey have it here though. I guess the technology may be a little more advanced here. hmmmm. well I tried. But it is totally worth it if you can afford it.
