Won't shield them? Who is the them? Bodybuilders don't need shielding in this case, but rather the establishment that is discriminating openly because of what someone looks like. A bodybuilder in its most rudimentary definition is someone that works out. While the facility is private property and have a right to allow membership only to those they choose they need to be consistent in their policy, which would be impossible to claim a defense of in practice. The 300# guy that used to workout could be excluded while simultaneously the bantam weight active bodybuilding competitor allowed membership. To win such a lawsuit I'd think it best to demonstrate this with a big black guy that has has great genetic makeup and is "big boned" and a WASP 130 lb competitor. Michael Clarke Duncan, the actor from the Green mile along with one of our over 60 year old Class competitors from a local or regional show would do nicely. There are so many ways to blow legal holes in their policy its crazy no one has bothered to try. Oh, the mental anguish pain and suffering! )

Nobody is suing which is results in them doing it as they know there is no the bodybuilding, fitness, and figure community won't do anything.

I haven’t seen their policy about this, but for now the best short answer is that unless and until bodybuilders are considered a protected class (like women, minorities, homosexuals or the disabled), state and federal anti-discrimination laws generally won’t shield them.

While I think the PF policy is stupid, different gyms do have different clienteles. A weekend warrior wouldn't go to West Side Gym in Ohio & feel comfortable. Even if the gym allowed membership, the members would probably run the person out.

Rather than guerrilla tactics that might get someone arrested, an online campaign to boycott PF might be a better idea. Massive complaints, bad publicity, members who resign in protest, etc.
