Maybe after giving your body a rest, it is performing better? I think that is a possibility.

If you've still been training hard, and especially with the way you train (short breaks, higher reps, supersets), I bet a lot of it carries over into still being able to do cardio well.
Also, I read in some running magazine once that in order to sustain a level you've reached, you only need to do about a third of the work you needed to get there... so if you were doing cardio 6 times a week, you should be able to stay at that level of fitness by just doing it twice a week. I'm not sure if there's really any merit to that, but it was in a magazine.

The boyfriend and I have been training together daily. My workouts have switched to 4-5x a week, training individual bodyparts. On occassion I throw plyos and leg-shaping exercises in.
I still would like to do this half marathon thing, but I want to be healed fully first. My weight has plateued-so thats excellent, I havent gained and I am able to eat 1800-2300 ish calories a day. I am eating plenty and thats awesome. i'll report more later.
