Mac's Training Asylum
Hello to all the RX Masters.
I am hoping that this year will be the year I return to the bodybuilding stage. I last competed as a lightweight in 1986 and a year later started a family and there went my BB lifestyle.
In 2006, I returned to working out and at age 53, I am still a lightweight.
A little over a year ago I decided to see if I could still get in shape to compete. I was able to get ripped to the bone, but lost a lot of size. Hopefully I can correct that this time around.
Shown below is my condition a little over a year ago and my progress since 2006. I never took any pics in 2009.

Damn dude, awesome.
What were your stats in the avatar...height, weight, chest, waist, etc?
Just curious, because I think that's very similar to what I will look like without the fat.

Thanks for the comments.
I am a tad under 5' 6 and about 165 lbs now. I was 148 at my peak condition in the photo from 2008. I never used the tape measure so I couldn't tell you my chest and waist measurements.

One of my first goals is to get these abs back. I know they are just hiding under this adipose tissue somewhere.
Off to do 20 minutes of cardio on the stationary bike.

Impressive.
How often do you work abs, and what exercises do you do for them?

Damn that felt good. 22 minutes on stat bike with some HIIT. It said 7.3 miles, 340 cals but i know it wasn't anywhere near that. I am used to a treadmill, but I have this now at home. I forgot how great the spine chilling sensations I get from doing this.
