Just to say though, we might joke a lot in our journals, but most of us are dead serious too.

This lady is reading journals to learn. I've only been at it two years and I have a long way to go. No lying or exaggerating from me either. So your time is appreciated

I am 44. I just have to be very smart about it. I am only stopping for 4-6 weeks, however keeping some anti-E's in the mix to maximize free test. Also using some thyroid boosters as well as fat burners to keep system stoked up. If you have been HRT for a long time, I wouldn't recommend it, however since I am competing I want to maximize every androgen receptor I can muster before beginning precontest cycle! I will let the brains figure if there is any validity to this approach. I just keep looking at my weights and reps and gauge my recuperation. The second I start going backwards, I will add 200mg of TE back to the mix, don't worry!

Welcome to the master's forums. Even though we talk and joke a lot in our journals, doesn't mean we aren't serious. For most of us, the people here are the only people in our lives who get what we do. We're friends. So there's bound to be more talk than just bodybuilding. That being said, if you wish to keep the chit chat out of your journal, we can do that. I also think that people in the master's section don't bullshit their lifts. We're beyond that one upmanship stuff. We each have different goals and different paths and support each other in them.
Again, welcome, I'm looking forward to following your log.You guys with the huge sponsor ads in your signatures make reading the forums annoying.

For the most part, I agree with you, otherwise I wouldn't take the time and energy to post here. You are also right in that a "journal" is going to address more that just the workout/diet, but also the emotional struggles of maintaining a high level of training. Point taken.
