Read the post by the originator of the thread to answer your question about why this thread continues, and why threads like this continue to pop up. She clearly stated not everyone knows what going on. To me, she represents the mindset of other young aspiring bodybuilders who look at the division as it exists today and don't like what they see.
They don't like the lack exposure and total disregard from the folks within the industry. This is of great concern because it is getting harder and harder to draw young girls into bodybuilding. The reasons they choose not to are the very things that we debate about over and over again.
As the mouthpiece of women's bodybuilding I simply answer their questions. Granted some people don't like what I say, but it's the truth. And it's what people talk about all the time behind closed doors. I'm not running a popularity contest on the subject. Don't hate me, hate the message.
StevenG, you can make me the scapegoat all you want. The powers of this industry, magazine publishers, supplement owners chose not to fairly support, include or sponsor fem bbers primarily because they don't find them attractive nor marketable. If there is another reason they don't please enlighten me.

It isn't what you have to say that is the problem. It is how you say it. You are rude and a horrible respresentative for change. I am sure you are a real nice girl offline (I'll give you he benefit of the doubt) but you would do the cause alot better if you changed your approach online.
My wife is one of these young (new to the sport) aspiring FBBers you speak of. I care a great deal about FBBing. We all see the problems with the sport, or atleast most do. The three of us if we sat down would agree on quite a bit in regards to the direction we would like to see the sport headed, but Carolyn, your online personality is disgusting and I can't agree with things like referring to competitiors as nappy ass hoes or calling out people by name or pulling pictures of competitors and dropping them in threads like this and asking "please explain this!". This is YOUR approach to changing things. What? are you a freaking highschool kid??? You show no class. Your message is completely lost in the uglyiness of your posts and rather than discuss issues in a respectful manner, you choose the low road. Congrats.

I think conditioning has been overemphasized by the contest judges, while size is underappreciated. The best/worst examples of this are the low placing of attractive women like Michelle Ivers-Brent and Andrea Thiel. I prefer massive and shapely physiques to dehydrated ones with dangerously low bodyfat. I'm shocked that Michelle still doesn't have her pro card depsite continued development, or that Nursel Gurler never made it to the IFBB. The fact that Tina Lockwood wasn't even close to winning her class on the national level shows how little muscle size has been rewarded.
