Where to eat and stay in Arizona
Hello, I'm hoping someone here can help out.
My girlfriend and I are flying in (from Canada) on Thursday to see the Pro show. We've got free accomodations already with relatives but we're wondering where we can go for a nice meal and hotel.
The price isn't a concern, looking for a ritzy suit and tie type atmosphere, something memorable.
Any suggestions?

And you have to hit up Mary Coyles Ice Cream, too. That is hands down, the best ice cream that I've ever eaten!

Phoenix is super easy to get around in. The city is set up like a grid. Have fun.

If you're looking for some fun nightlife, old town Scottsdale is where it's at. A nice hotel that's walking distance from all the clubs is the W. Plus, there is a sushi restaurant connected to the hotel or you could walk to a ton of different restaurants from your hotel.

Thank you very much for all the help. The Phoenician looks great, we're looking into that and possibly the Fairmont.
Unfortunately, we're both dieting and only getting one cheat meal, so I'll have to limit it to one fancy restaurant. I read over the menu of the Capital Grill, and it sounds like what I had in mind.

Bourbon Steak at The Fairmont Princess. Fancy upscale restaurant with some of the best damn steaks you've ever had. Lots of BBer friendly food on the menu and did I mention the yummy steaks? The atmosphere is pretty nice as well.

Not. If you want quick and easy Mexican, check out Caramba around 67th Ave and Bell Road and 19th Ave/Bell Road.
On the Border is a generic, crappy "frozen out of the bag" type joint with some of the worst tasting Chicken I've had at any restaurant. Calling it rubber simply doesn't do it justice.

I can't believe it being to hard to find somewhere to eat ... lol - I'll probably just look for an Ihop and go with Sing Sing.

I don't want any quick and easy type food, or sushi for that matter. I'm hoping to hit a nice steakhouse / upper class restaurant, planning on spending a couple hundred for the two of us.
If anyone knows a restaurant that meets this criteria, please let me know. I've got reservations made but will cancel if I can find somewhere better.
