Another "IF" thread: Kai beat Phil....hmmmm?
do you think Kai has surpassed (Olympia 08) Phil Heath????
Also, if the year off serves Phil Heath right with quality muscle for the 09 Olympia....how would he stack up against the New Kai???

This is a good IF thread, but I still think Phil wins, especially if he can have another succcessful offseason like last year. If he can make anywhere near the amount of improvements this year like he did last year, he's going to be incredibly hard to beat in the O.

It's hard to say but I don't think it is fair to compare Phil's 2008 pictures to Kai's 2009. These guys are just changing too fast. I tend to like Phil's look more than Kai. Either way, I think the level of competition in the IFBB is great now. There are so many guys who can show up and win shows now that it makes it almost impossible to predict who will win.

that is true...everyone is stacked and young bucks are growing at a phenomenal rate
just look how Centopani and Curry are coming along...except Brewer (I blame it on the Keto Diet..lol..but that's a grey area)
next decade of Bodybuilding is gonna be very interesting

Phil has great thickness and full, round muscle bellies.Reminds me of a modern day Levrone.I think Kai has him beat when it comes to conditioning.
Bodybuilding is not about how much you can lift. Its about how much you say you can lift.

kai has him beat in size, conditioning, muscle seperation and muscle density....phil has him beat in symetry and structure. for me i think 2009 kai would beat 2008 phil.

I think Kai might be a little bit better than the 2008 phil but I think Phil will be alot better this year.

i was always a huge fan of phil and his physique ever since he shows up on the scene and won his first two pro shows....I think he has more potential than anyone right now....he is younger than almost every top teir pro and is hanging with them in terms of size and muscularity.....He's physique was exceptional at the 08 olympia...and taking one year to prep for this years O he should look amazing if he comes in on point. Kai will be up there, but id think Phil will look better......

First off Phil is the winner of the two, when he gets the O, he will have it for a couple years. Second off, the 'powers that be' have too much of a say in who wins the O. No way in hell they are letting a freak like Kai represent the sport....I mean freak in a bad way.
