Well, Dave...everyone reacts differently. Some women lose their periods while others do not. So anything is possible.
edit: I moved this thread to Fem Chem so you'll get more response.

How long are you running it and at what dose? It may take it away in the future.

Yep weird stuff can happen when you start screwing w/ your hormone levels. I'm going to guess after another month on, the period will go away for a while. But no guarantees.

After 2 weeks on var I got my period and it was much heavier than normal so I would say yes, it is possible.

I have been on var and primo tabs for close to 30 days and mine came 2 days ago. It's about slightly over a week late, but it came nevertheless.

My first time posting. Got my period 1 week after starting my very first cycle of Var. Always get it light for 2 days. This time it was for 7 days and heavy heavy heavy. Waiting to see if I get it at all this time. Been on var for 4.5 weeks.

Generally w/in the first month of adding some sort of sex hormone manipulator to your system, your menstrual cycle is trying to figure out what to do - like s2h mentioned - its can be nothing, spotty or a gusher. Most likely after its had full cycle to figure things out, it will settle to no period until there is another change in hormone levels and it may need another round of figuring out what the hell is going on and back to normal again.
