Gotta love the angry wall of flames behind the Monolift. Would provide an extra rep on pure psychological boost alone.

You're new huh?
Elena's been a top 4 National competitor for years. She has the back I aspire to have. I can't speak for her or any other pro who chooses to not compete immediately after winning it, as its a life pursuit and once you achieve, its a whole other pursuit to compete at the pro level. But through the 2000's, Elena has been one of the top amateur FBB competitors and someone who was particularly known for her great presentation and stage presence in posing and routines. These are the people who make the sport fun.

Great interview, Tammy!
2008 was the first time I ever actually went to watch Nationals, and Elena was one of a few particular fbb's in that show who really stood out to me and really made me want to switch to bb (ironically, one of the others was Tammy lol). I thought it was really interesting when she said that winning her pro card wasn't as fulfilling as she had anticipated. I imagine when you dedicate as much time and effort to anything like Elena did, it's very easy to build up the emotions that come with reaching that specific goal to be something more than they ultimately are. Regardless, now that she's reached this goal, I think it's great that she's expanding herself both athletically and in other areas of her life, since it's so easy for bodybuiding to be all-consuming.
