Tho ALR doesn't recommend it, sometimes I'll stack ONE comatose with a benedryl and mannnnnnn I get some really great deep sleep!!! I only do that once in a while when I really need to get some sick deep sleep.
WHAAAAAAAT?!? Welp, thats gonna freak me out.........is this 100% legit?
LOL........
SIDE NOTE: I get SUPER bouts of anxiety...bad... and I was on Lexapro/Zoloft (10mg/day/minimum dose) for the past 6 years but recently had to come off it due to a change in jobs/gap in insurance coverage (sucks coming off anti-depressants btw, terrible with drawls).....and once I had gotten through all the withdrawals I started up St. Johns Wart. Its not as 'complete' as the Lexapro is, but I definitely notice a difference with my mood and being less anxious. But now thanks to the news that SJW might affect BC.........argh.......LOL. . . I'll look into the SAM-E too....

I have an anxiety disorder and often get upset and stressed out when I can't focus at work because my mind is racing!!! I have taken Lucidrol made by Advanced Muscle Science and find this to really help my focus, which in turn helps my anxiety and heightens my mood.
I know this isn't a mood enhancer but it definitely helps lower my stress, is also a natural product so you don't have side effects when you "come off" of it.

From personal exprience, if you are an anxiety prone individual then the following will help alleviate discomfort.
TO DO LIST
- Supplement with 10mg melatonin b4 bed
- Try Gaba, it seems to help in relaxation.
- don't cut out carbs, carbs help keep cortisol levels down, in addition to raising serotonin levels
- i've never tried 5-HTP or st.john's wort, but it's worth a try.
- you want to raise dopamine as appose to serotonin, both are great but dopamine give you a euphoric feeling while still allowing you to concentrate. A common method to do this is Tobacco smoke, but due to it's obvious health detriments, you may want to talk to your doctor about dopamine specific antidepressants.
- Do not over consume stimulants, and if you can, completely cut them out.
- Have a support system, preferably a loving/caring partner who you can seek comfort in. Don't underestimate things such as cuddling, or a gentle nurturing touch. lol.........may sound funny, but it's true.
That's all i can think of for now...........Hope this helps

I know 5 HTP as a sleeping aid but not a mood supplement. Better to try omega 3. Like what i told a few days ago in one thread. I'm taking 3 supplement today. And one of them is MX Omega 3 Fish Oil. Truly it's promotes to comforts joints, lifts moods and nourishes brain. I think this is much better as you will acquire other great health benefits aside with having a better mood.
