I DID NOT ATTACK YOU. Rip into you or call you any kind of names or anything. So I am not seeing why you are using the word " attack"? truthfully you considered that and attack? did you really? I mean be honest if you really felt like you were " attacked" right there. If so I am sorry for attacking you like that.
Miles I am not a bitch ok. So If I did so happen to purposely " attack" you and you "attacked" me back. That would be all on me and I would take it like a man. I would not attack anyone then go cry and wine after it was given back to me. I have never done this here because to my knowledge I have never attacked anyone on this site and you are the first person ever to say I have.
So If you do feel like I attacked you Miles I am sorry. Please forgive me for that.

Also I would like nothing more then to be able to have all kinds of studies done on everything I sell. I mean that to. The sad truth is it would cost me more then my whole company is worth just to have one study done on one single ingredient in one of my products.
You make a great point. But rather then pass laws that force companies to get studies they could never even dream of paying for. Do you think the government could pass a law that would be more in favor of keeping supplements. Don't you think it would be awesome if the government and fda could do something that would keep supplements as cheap as they are now and as available to consumers as they are now but at the same time encourage testing.
How about the government doing something like passing a bill that gives grants to any company that wants to have a product tested. You sign up for this great. Write to them about why you think your product is worthy of the grant, what is in the product what you believe it can do for people, so on and so forth. Then the government sets aside a ton of money for these grants and makes it so many many companies have the chance to have products testing.
I am asking you do you think if rather then taking away all the supplements and putting all of them into the hands of the drug companies. Rather then taking your 5.00 bottle of high dosed vit-c and tunrng it into a 50.00 bottle allong with the hassle of having to get a perscription for it. Rather then taking away yet another one of your rights. Do you think it would be better of them to help the us all and give us access to better more proven supplments?
If they could keep supplements from becoming triple the price, keep the as easy to get as they are not. Then at the same time making it so that even a small company like mine can have the opertunity to test products for effictiveness thus giving you the consumore a better product market. Would that not be much better?

That would be great in a perfect world where everything is free, but in reality, all you can do is the the best studied components together and make a great product.
theres always people that live in that "they should this...they should that"
world, but have no concept of the costs of their recomendationsConfucius say...

A fat guy who eats a pizza, then does an hour of cardio is still fat.

I would have to agree with you all in a weird way. Grants like the pharma gets would be nice and they do in house studies mostly anyway...and are accepted as ethical as well as valid (I once wrote the pre-study white sheets (supposition of expected results and based upon a certain set of facts compiled) for a pharma company and was always amazed at the fact that they wanted a specific out come rather than raw data).
However in the last 6 months alone I (ALR Industries) have spent well over $250k to commision clinical, University, and even peer reviewed published studies for our products with more coming. These are studies that are complete in design and outlines start with my white paper then the controlling director uses his/her own additions/subtractions for best validation regardless of what i write. And for the record, we also pay grants for research on compounds for Autism, ADHD, and have one in the works for nephrology we are co-developing with a University. Some of this knowledge carries over to our products but its mostly just because we can help. The hardest part is paying the bills and knowing it may be up to a year before you get the results due to the study approval process when working with human subjects. And up to another year before they can be presented for peer review publication.
More government control? If they enforce the laws that exist product safety would certainly go up. Add more laws and cost will go way up to the end user. Interesting that pharma kills several thousand each year, yet supplements have never been the cause of death for anyone unless they were severely abused. Now think about the back side of that: We are supposedly not regulated in the food and supplement industry (anyone believing that should really not be allowed to walk alone anywhere or operate a moving vehicle) yet when have any of you had your doctor call to see if you woke up after taking that valium, Xanex or if your liver has failed from that birth control (steroid) they prescribed? Interesting.
