Why is Nate Diaz NEVER on the MAIN CARD?

He puts up great fight after great fight but Dana NEVER puts him on the main card it seems.. Why?

He does sound pretty retarded when he speak, maby Dana is afraid of the interview after the fight lol.

I might have missed the times hes on the main card though, it just feels like hes never on it, always prelim or fightnight

It's because of his out of cage antics. He is a terrible representative for a sport that is continually trying to earn legitimacy.

But I agree, a damn fun fighter to watch.

I agree with both you guys. I loves me some Nate, but his cage antics get in the way. Now.....flash forward to Mr. Lesnar and people like St. Tito and you would wonder why some get away with it and some dont. Well, I think Dana and the UFC MIGHT think that those fighters are better known and liked/disliked so they can sell themselves that way. But Nate is an aquired taste....he is getting very popular, and I do not doubt he will be on the main card on a regular basis soon.

his brother is a terrible influence on him...i remember during that TUF when he was getting goosed by Karo Parisyan...he was pretty respectful to Karo's cousin Many...but around his brother, his negative side emerges...

If Nate wants to make the main card he just has to keep up what he is doing... Fact is that he's a loose cannon to an extent, but if you are good enough, you can be a loose cannon and Dana will live with it. Nate just isn't to that level yet.

I wouldn't say Brock got away with his antics. I think Dana made his point and we won't see that again. And Tito's act would not fly today. Dana sees the money in legitimizing the sport and won't let that childish nonsense get in the way.

Nate's antics last saturday is the exact opposite image that Dana wants to portray.
