Heart Rate TOO Low?
When I am doing my cardio my heart rate only goes from 88-98 BPM. Will I still be burning bodyfat for fuel? I am doing 3hrs 20min of cardio a day. Broken up into 3 sessions

The master Dave himself is having me do this much cardio. I am just following his advice and yes its a Keto diet.

Hey bro! Great job at the Vancouver. I was Open LightHeavy, got a chance to see you take the novice overall before i went on. U doin the Cup?
I did keto as well. Dieted for 17 weeks; i noticed those last 4 weeks or so, it was almost impossible for me to get my HR above 100bpm. If Dave is recommending you do something, I would follow it 100% and dont stray from it. Granted, i think getting the HR up there a liiiiittle bit more wouldn't hurt, maybe just over 100bpm if you can.

Much respect to ANY1 that can do 3 hours+ of cardio a day haha, im only doin 50 min a day right now and it feels impossible sometimes. Last year when i got up to an hour and 20 min i wanted to kill myself, how do u stay sane??

I'm working with Dave too and he told me the lower range is 90 bpm and not to exceed 130 bpm. I thought 90 was low but the master has spoken.

Seriously I feel like crap, 3.0 mph is really fast for me at this point! What sucks is that I was drinking 3 gallons of crystal light and each pack contains 8g carbs roughly so I think I just finally hit ketosis!
Yeah I am doing the Cup, I am going to get my ass handed to me haha No offense to Dave but I followed his routine to the dot and well I did not come in the condition I wanted to. The only mess up I had was the crystal light thing which I did not know about and one week I had a real big cheat meal. I should have just followed my own diet but next time I know better.

haha no he is a great guy and all but I guess I wanted that super grainy look but since I am natural it might have been harder for him to get me that look in 15 weeks.
Every week he tells me I look phenomenal and perfect but I don't think I do. I am never satisfied. I still highly recommend him though, he has dropped my bodyfat while keeping my muscle I believe.

Yea dude, i feel ya. Walking at 3.0 was utterly exhausting near the end there for me too. I could barely stand, let alone do hours of cardio a day. For a natural guy, your condition at the Vancouver was spot on. Not too many guys can get that grainy look at our age; especially without drugs. You have excellent shape and size George, I think you'll do better than you think. I'll be there rootin you on bro

Each gallon of Crystal Lite is 8 carbs. So 3 gallons a day is 24 carbs over the diet. That's enough to screw up ketosis for some people. That's NOT considered following Dave's diet "to the dot."

Well I told him about me drinking 3 gallons of crystal light a day and he said it was okay. Its just now I have been trying to nick pick everything in my diet. His diet he made for me which is just a little less than a 200lb persons....if you calculate everything has roughly 50g carbs in it if you count the fiber which some people don't.

well a coach doesnt know your body like yourself so doesnty always mean he will get you into best condition, plus i prefer the carb approach when dieting as daves diet sucked for me after a few weeks.............
wow suprised you guys are this tired in the last few weeks, nearly passing out from 100bpm cardio.....wtf?? lol

Keep your head in the game George, it's ALL TOO EASY to start doubting yourself.. Take some time away from the BOARDS and re-group.. It's not too late to pull it all together, it's amazing what GOOD mental attitude can do to improve your physique.

well a couple of things...the reason your HR isnt getting over 90 something is because your probably in great cardio vascular shape!! i mean you are doing over 3 hours a day lol....did you have a lot of fat to lose when you started your diet?? and yea stay away from crystal lite...1-2 glasses a day at the most
