I am suprised at myself as well. Rita too actually. I seem to be medically minded (I read medical diagnostic books for...fun.) and I see things in people when they tell me things (example I figured out a woman had burned out graves disease and her doc did not. Would have been dead in a month!) But I just did not think. Feel stupid about it too! I mean to tell you it has been hell for years. I just hope this holds. So far I feel great! I am like praying for real "PLEASE GOD PLEASE!"" really.

honestly a lot of whey makes me feel like shit too. i get really lethargic and lose the appeal to eat after a while. i usually stick to like 5-6 scoops a day at the absolute max, and even thats pushing it, because it just doesnt do me well. rather food, and lots of milk. fuckin love milk.

Jeff,
Do you have any history of Asthma or other respiratory ailment? My 5 year old son has asthma and when he has a 'triggering' event (he is severely allergic to certain types of mold) he pukes mucous. The doctor explained that because his lungs can't get rid of the build up of mucous it goes into his stomach which then causes him to 'get rid of it' by throwing up. I wonder if the whey or some other trigger is causing this.
Good luck with your health!
Jon

I had similar issue and it was post nasal drip. Do you also find you have a sore throat and/or are clearing your through often? Dairy can definitely make it worse, but there are other factors, and other—for a BB—easier remedies. Before you give up whey completely, you may also want to try a steroid nasal spray (e.g., Nasonex), oral steroids (e.g., medrol), antihistimines, or an oral decongestant. Since you are still eating yogurt and heavy cream, the root cause may not even be the whey (this may just be an exacerbating factor). It is best to see a doctor, though—ideally, an ENT—because this could be caused by a structural issue, such as a deviated septum. In any event, good luck.

I wake up like that most mornings and I have a ton of sinus issues. I had surgery a year ago to laser out scar tissue built up around my sinuses. I went from getting a sinus infection every month to every 3 months, so the surgery did help. As far as the Whey Issue, what Whey were you drinking? Concentrate Hydrosylate etc??? Depending on the Whey maybe you don't have enough healthy flora in your stomach to break the protein down. Why don't you try adding enzymes and probiotics into your supplement regimen to aid in digestion!!!

I took the same walk down this road a few years ago - it is interesting how some of it matches, but its hard to apply 4 (I think) general catogories across the board to every person on the planet. Its wide enough that you could easily find cases that "prove" the theory as well as those that debunk it completely. But it is something that raises some things to check into (e.g. various food allergies) if someone is having issues that aren't readily diagnosed.

I know for me some artificial sweeteners in whey/supps just tear me up.
