Wennestrom Looks Back at Women Bodybuilder's Best Lightweights!
IFBB Women's Historian Steve Wennerstrom Looks back at the sport of Women's Bodybuilding's Best LIGHTWEIGHTS! This is one of the best retrospectives I've ever read. I wish someone would do this for the men's side of the sport!

I know there is always massive speculation about why the Pro Male BB's today are so much bigger than the pre 1990 ones, but are the reasons the same for the women?

Here's what I recall on Angela.
She was from Union City, California. At 4-11, she was densely developed with nice overall structural balance competing first as a MW (normally around 116 pounds), then dropping down - successfully - to a lightweight, before finishing her competitive efforts in a five year career.
My contest history for Angela is as follows:
1999 NPC Contra Costa 3rd MW
1999 NPC San Francisco 1st MW
1999 Ed Corney Muscle Classic 1st MW & Overall
1999 NPC Sacramento 1st MW
2000 NPC Contra Costa 1st MW
2000 NPC California 1st MW
2000 NPC Flex Wheeler Classic 1st MW & Overall
2001 NPC Junior Nationals 1st LW
2001 NPC Nationals 2nd LW
2004 NPC Contra Costa 5th MW
She worked as a billing coordinator for a pharmaceutical company, and managed her husband's career in stand-up comedy.
Okay Tre. Over to you to post a photo or two of Angela from her competitive days.
