managed carb off season diets
I tend to gain a lot of fat in the off season following a "traditional" off season diet silimar to dave's offseason diet (roughly equal calories from protein/fat/carbs)
Aside from eating less calories and doing more cardio next offseason, I am looking into lower carb off season diets that I've heard some people run - carbs just several days a week (DiPasquali) or carbs just after training (Razor Ripped used to mention a diet like this)
I'm looking for some specifics and folks with experience running these sort of off season diets.

I always had the same problem when i tried to do high carbs high protein and moderate fats, i would gain too much fat. I always do in the offseason now only 4 carb meals and the final 2 meals of the nite just alot of veggies with my protein and a few tsp's of olive oil or mac oil. If you gain fat still doin this, alot of guys like to do breakfast carbs, PRe and Post, nd the final 3 meals no carbs. Give it a try, you will use just the right amount of carbs to grow and fuel ur workout but still not take in enough to spill over and gain fat. I do like 50 per meal in the first 3, then the 4th only like 25. then zero zero. Good luck.
