Roman Fritz: German Bodybuilding Prodigy!
After reading that article it made me realize how bodybuilding can ruin your life. This guy admits to losing his friends, having no girlfriends because he "trains twice a day and eats every 2 hours no matter what, only taking one day off per month". Oh, he also only cheated one time last year, one pizza.
What a waste of life, to put it all on the line... for what? If bodybuilding takes your friends away, your outings, or potential woman (or men) and general life activities, wtf is the point? I'm glad I've stopped taking it so seriously and drink, eat junk food and do how I please. Sure I never miss a meal or training session, but to go as far as Roman has at 22, to me is sad.
Discuss.

Some people just want things more than others.I see nothing wrong with his attitude. So what if he loses women here and there, the kid will have all the pussy he wants looking like that.

It's all worth it bro. We've all been there, some dont mind it, some think its stupid. Personally once i learned to pack all my food for the day, i'll go out and do w/e i want chyll hang out wit my girl blah blah but i will never miss a meal and my friends and family all know this is how it is, if someone says ur stupid for eating out of nowhere then they shouldnt be ur friend anyways.

I think it has to be an individual decision based on your priorities. People ruin relationships for powerful corporate jobs and tons of money. Athletes ruin their bodies for glory in their chosen sports. Some very intelligent people have middle management or small community doctor etc type jobs because it leaves enough time to spend with their families. Its all about what you determine will bring you happiness and success.

all our life we try to balance, different aspects of life, professional , family, social, financial etc etc....Now if one aaspect fucks all other aspects....then life will become a "living hell"....its not about improving 100 percent in one aspect its about improving 20 percent in different aspects.
just like G-valentino has 28 inch arms but that doesnt guarentee he becoming a champion bodybuilder... a bodybuilder with a very good of everything is going to be the champion....so is life you have to be very good at different aspects...be a good son-friend-bodybuilder-etc etc....
kai greene makes it look so unachievable with his philosophy and living in hell all the time... fabricated pain all the time....whereas ronnie coleman made it look so simple ....no nonsense, without being super philosiphical....

That level of dedication is not needed, you need the genetic potential and consistency with diet and training, but becoming a monk is not needed

Agreed, overthinking things and stressing yourself out can also be catabolic. This dude needs to relax, it's ok if you have a meal every three hours one in a while, it's not going to make a difference at all in the long run. I think this kid is going to burn himself out; training twice a day for 30 or so days straight, at some point he's going to lose his passion for training.

that's what i was thinking! i mean..there's more to life than just this
on the other hand...his dream is to become a pro bodybuilder...and i guess that's what it takes to get there.
i just just want to stay in shape, train hard and be healthy... that's not a 24h job in my opinion... and i can still enjoy life
