    Remember there are different forms of Sat.fat and all if it is not "BAD" Fat your body needs Saturated fat to produced testosterone that does not mean go out and eat a shit ton but you do need it. Along with cholesterol to keep your hormones in check if your very concerned increase your fiber it helps in lowering cholesterol. shoot for 30-40g a day.

    Although some cases of high cholesterol are hereditary, many are not. Here in America, 1/3 of the population is now obese and the numbers are growing. Heart disease, most of it which is related to conditions caused by high cholesterol, has become the number one killer here. This is not due to genetics! This is due to high fat diets and no exercise and its becoming an epidemic. Now I'm not saying a bunch of omega 3 eggs are going to do this to our friend here. But he's smart for at least looking into it. When he gets into his older age and starts exercising less and his body starts metabolizing fat and cholesterol less efficiently it will be wise for him to lay off on the eggs and eat fruits and veggies.

    After college when my diet consisted mainly of pizza, cigs, and beer I had high cholesterol at 22. I switched to a high carb, high protein , low fat and plenty of cardio diet after and my levels only had a slight improvement. About two years ago I started following a ketogenic/CKD diet most of theyear and my cholesterol levels are now in check. I usually eat minimum 6 eggs a day and max 12.

    What was your bf% when you were on the high protein/high carb diet vs keto diet?

    Sorry to disagree with ya but Dietary cholesterol has a small effect on blood cholesterol. What causes blood cholesterol to bind to the walls is inflammation of the blood vessels. many were sold a bill of goods when it came to fats in our diets as we lowered are fat intake with up'd our sugar and processed food and refined sugar consumption along with lowering our exercise. a really good book is "good calories bad calories"
    Another thing you need to look at when dealing with cholesterol is not the LDL and HDL it is the amount of lipoproteins Measuring each type of lipoprotein helps determine a person's risk for cardiovascular disease more accurately than cholesterol measurement alone.The problem is that the cholesterol game has become big business and not about health its about dollars.

    between HFC and Trans fats we have been come more and more sick as a people problems start when we think we're smarter then nature.

    and as for someone eating 11 eggs a day and not exercising as much that starts to move toward to much calories to how much are used and he could do the same with any food.

    I think you actual do agree with me. You say that cholesterol has to do with good calories vs bad calories and exercise. This is basically what I was saying while others on this thread were trying to say its simply "hereditary", as if everyone in this country is becoming fat because of their parents genes.
