No you didn't. I had the Heavyweight class going to the winner, Brendan Mcgury. I thought he had better conditioning, a little soft in hams from back but he was bigger and still beat you in the poses from back. If your posing were better I think you would have had a better shot. The guy who won overall did look good and it was amazing because he was a little older.

Hey Ivor, yes, I know Bill Quick. This was the best I have ever seen him look. He was very muscular and hard. If he can hold onto that condition for the Masters Nationals in July, he should do really well in the over 50 class. Joe is getting ready to have another kid (his 5th!) so I don't know when he's going to get onstage again. LOL

I remember now.. Bill trains at USA... I think he is a trainer there too if I am not mistaken. In any case I am sure Chuck guided his prep.. at least some of it.

It is what it is, its an objective sport, not trying to come out here and bash anyone, i had lots of people come out to me that i didnt know after the show telling me this, and when i saw the pics i was like wtf? to each his own. Conditioning and balance is always key. Props to the overall winner again, amazing at 50! great humble guy!

You did look great man, your class was close. I wouldn't say you got "ass raped" though. I coulda gone either way with you or the other dude. The only person I felt got raped was Jim Swanson in the super heavies. Byron (the SHW winner) looked good but I felt Jim's conditioning was just as good and in comparision he made Byron look like a LHW.

Overall winner was impressive. He won the masters overall too.

I disagree with that, I think Byron's conditioning was much better than Jim Swanson's. Jim was much bigger and Byron should have been in the HW class, but the guy couldn't start his prep as early as he wanted to because he was doing a powerlifting meet.

Does anyone have a picture of Jim Swanson?
I used to wrestle with a Jim Swanson that went on to do powerlifting. I wasn't aware that he did bodybuilding (if in fact this is the same person we're talking about). I didn't recognize him at the show... again, if it was him.

Evan looks big and lean.

When first meeting him he didn't seem freakishly huge because he had that yellow oversize t-shirt and sweat pants on. Also he was hanging with Mike Libratore who had a tight shirt on with his sick arms busting out of it. Mike looked pretty lean also. On stage Evan was huge and hard. I was very impressed with his condition.
