If Sports Illustrated did an issue on bodybuilding it would be called Flex Magazine.Ever since Allan Donelly took over editing the mag it has turned to shit.Except for the Arnold and Olympia contest coverage for all other shows are piss poor.Training and nutrition columns are a goddam joke-same rotation every couple issues.

The problem is the market is not the fans or even bodybuilders. The market is 16 year old boys who want instant gratification and are obscenely gullible.

It's a shame there's no market for a real quarterly journal.

This concept really struck me. A weight training, bodybuilding, powerlifting journal not of the "bomb n blitz" variety. Why can't Hewlett-Packard's CEO be an iron fan? Someone with some serious bucks who'd favor a more intelligent periodical dedicated to the weights?

Anyone have their dream team writing staff? Photographers?

I remember Don Ross' writing. Man, that guy loved the sport. Of course, Rx's own John Romano would have to have the editor spot.

The MD pros have monthly columns in the mag, do QnA stuff for the mag, I see a lot more video on MDs website of their athletes than Flexs, and participate on the MD forums. Some are more vocal than other on the forum part.

Thats not really the pros answering quuestions on MD.
