It began in Canada and has exploded nation-wide with solid exposure to the media up here. It's only a matter of time before the WBFF has shows down south I would guess.

This would be the last thing the IFBB would want. Losing members of it's federation to other organizations. IFBB is the flagship - but I could see a large number of people in figure and bikini leaving to get out of the political game that haunts and ravages the IFBB. If this other division can give fair judging and not just place people who they want to win - you might see an Exodus of the "real" competitors in figure - the only ones that will stick around will be the girls who suck ass and don't really deserve their placings. (Ah Hem - Nicole, Heather, and others...)

That was more about Kristal saving face after throwing a tantrum over a photoshoot and comment regarding placings. No mass exodus although, I saw an OCB show in Florida draw more competitors than an IFBB Pro's NPC promotion a few hundred miles away on the same day last weekend as the non-national/pro shows get virtually NO support from the major muscle media and principle muscle forums, etc (fill in the blank). Take away the bread and butter, go after the athletes that pay membership dues and entry fees and never expect to turn pro. This is the rub where the natties are hitting the rosters of competitors. But what do I know

Hmmmm usually the jump is the other way around but things are indeed changing. With the whole addition of bikini and softening of figure people are very frustrated. I have been to two natural shows this year AND their figure girls have been allowed to come in harder than the NPC. I posted the pic of Teresa Evans who won IFPA and she looks a lot harder than whats winning in the NPC right now.
I will say that there will actually be an IFBB MALE BB making a jump this month to a different federation!! And it was a bit of a shock to me.

yep ur right theres no female BB
but then this one chick i know who's super thick
got popped for drug testing at a natural show (IFBB stream)
went into WBFF last yr won the figure in the same shape just put heels on
hahahahaha......
when someone can enter their very first show
and boom they are a Pro
wherez the credibility in that
people who weren't winning at the Provincial level in IFBB stream
got their pro card in their first WBFF show mmmmnn.....
and funny cuz one chick i know in that situation
won her pro card in figure now i hear she's switching sports
to can't remember bikini model or whatever
so funny most of us strive so hard for a pro card
and then there boom you get one and it's like nah i think i'll do something else
they are giving their athletes great mag coverage, sponsorships and lots of prizes
so thatz a draw for alot of people

I was talking w/ one of the guys who promotes WBFF and was really surprised about the lack of FBB. However you bring up a good point about the harder look for figure outside the US. Generally in Canada the girls are harder in all categories. The Canadians rocked the North Americans last year, as it landed a week after the Canadian Nationals --- these include Pro Zoa Linsey and Melody Spetko.

It's bikini and figure.
I'm sure they're terrific women, but when you look at the numbers, I honestly don't think anyone will notice their absence.
If Jessica Lawrence or that other pretty one were to quit, yeah, what would be news.
