Even for a local, I liked it better at the MB.
That being said, for those who want quality and still be close to the venue, there's always the Palms.
Lot's of celebrities stay there and it's exactly a one mile trip.

If you are posting a huge advertisement across a digital billboard for Olympia weekend in several different key locations throughout Vegas, then naturally the venue should be at a more upscale hotel. "September 24-27th AT THE ORLEANS" really brings it down.

Shit why don't we just have the Olympia at the Carnival Court outside between Harrahs and the Imperial Palace. It has a stage and I'm sure they could get it for cheap. The competitors could come out and do mandatories between the random cover bands playing. Everyone could stay at the IP, about the cheapest place on the strip and it's right next door so no worries about cab rides. The vendors could setup all around the island bar. You know, just keep it real classy and professional.

They would be wise to move it back to the strip. My first Olympia experience was by coincidence. I happened to be staying at The Mandalay Bay the very same weekend as the contest & expo. I bought tickets and had a great time. Had the contest been off the strip, I never would have known about it....

If the olympia gets moved to another venue, every one will bow and beg for mercy due to the(already) outrageous ticket prices and room prices. Not to metion we gotta take a bus to the convention anyway. I could understand if this was bodybuilding at its pinnacle, but its not.Why spend more to get the same show. Honestly as long as the "O" is off strip, its fine with me.

I do more than sleep in my hotel room when I'm in Vegas. I need my room to be comfortable and nice.

If they moved it back to Mandalay Bay im pretty sure no one would be complainin. And when it was there they had the Expo on premisis as well. Everything in one classy place.
Im stickin with The Orleans being a shithole. Embarrassing that the Mr O is held there.
