eating 80 carbs a day, should I do carb ups once a week?
Currently cutting, eating 2200 calories a week 45% protein 38% fat and 17% carbs. Only carbs I get are oats in my first meal and 40g of dextrose post workout and trace carbs from veggies and nuts.
Energy in the gym is still good but I am also taking the EC stack so that is probably why my energy is still up.

If you feel that your fealling really flat and that you need a carb up eat! listen to your body man..... you will know when you need one... dont just have one to have one thats why people get fat...

^^^Agreed^^^
If it this is currently working don't change it up. When things start stagnating or you feel very slugglish and it's really effecting your ability to work out then I'd try and add a few extra carbs for a day or two...not a binge session or high carb day. Just maybe some grits and egg whites cooked together here and adding some sprouted grain bread there, nothing too crazy.
But you may find out your body operates better with fats as an energy source compared to carbs. Just an FYI, from experience I've found my gut doesn't appreciate a dramatic change in carb levels if I've had them low for a while and fights back with various methods involving smells, discomfort and frequent trips to the bathroom."If you ever start taking things too seriously, just remember that we are talking monkeys on an organic spaceship flying through the universe." - Joe Rogan
