Female Body-Building...

I'm a big fan of all the different division's for what it is that they bring to the stage, but the FBB's are the one's I'd love to see make the biggest strides in terms of prize money and recognition...I'm not gonna sit here and say it will or wont happen, but I think girls like Kris Murrell, Nicole Ball, Cathy LeFrancois, Sheila Bleck, Debbie Bramwell and Debi Laszewski..JUST TOO NAME A FEW, are certainly making it more exciting to watch.
I started looking back at past competitor's..AND ONE WOMAN CLEARLY STAND'S OUT TO ME AS SOMEONE WHO SHOULD, COULD AND WOULD MAKE A BIG IMPACT IMMEDIATELY...

I try to always check the top competitors in the big shows. People like Iris and Heather Armbrust get me really excited since i think they are amazing. I hope the best for the sport and i truly appreciate female bodybuilders whether or not i think they are attractive.

Im torn in my opinions of female bodybuilding... I like the classic looking female bodybuilders like Elena Schportun but at the same time i feel like a woman should not have to feel limited. If men Bodybuilders grow as big as they want, women should be able to aswell. If they awarded a physique like Elena Schportun then i will be happy but at the same time i still appreciate the freaky muscle and conditioning from Iris, Lisa Aukland, Heather Polisky-Armbrust... so on and so fort. I think they should get rid of Bikini and make two seperate female bodybuilding category for women with a 70's style classic physique and an Open category where its no holds barred and the women are judged for the same standards as the men; Size, Conditioning, and Ballance.

The reason i think there should be multiple physiques is so someone like Juliana Malacarne can put on a little big more muscle not be tooken down a knotch for being to big in a figure comp or someone like Elena Schportun can be rewarded for having an amazingly beautiful physique.

For those of you who dont know who Elena is....

^ women like this need their own category to have a forum to compete without getting out massed and the Open category can still be for the bigger hardcore women like Iris, Lisa, Heather etc... Its a Win Win situation, we dont sacrifice the more aesthetic physiques or the more muscular physiques, best of both worlds. It would also be good marketing for female bodybuilding to have smaller women.

Keep in mind she was doing this in the early 90's...Today, she looks fantastic.

Women like this do have their own category. It's called figure and only NABBA seems to have kept it the way it was originaly ment to be. I believe that has something to do with NABBA being about bodybuilding and IFBB being about profit. but I could be wrong.

Wow man thats awesome. I didnt even know. I dont hate but i strongly dislike the IFBB Figure, i think the women look insanely hot in their photoshoots but onstage its such a bore and its so pointless to me. What you posted seems so much more interesting to me.
