    Default Cravings before period

So i should be getting my period in about a week or two. I've been dieting really hard the past month and i've seen great results but the past 2 days i completely pigged out and ate a lot of carbs and sweets like ice cream and cake. now its hard to get back on track.

does this happen to anyone else? any way to fight these cravings or do i just have to deal with it?

Yup, this happens to me too! I usually crave Steak Mmmmm or chocolate.
If I absolutely can't fight the urge I'll have a chocolate pro. powder & make it very thick with ice.. Vitamin Shoppe has puddings that are very thick and won't kill your diet. If its Steak I am dying for, then I wait it out for my higher fat day and eat my steak very slow lol

I think everyone deals with it. The best thing to do is just get back on the wagon w/ your diet. You're dealing w/ mostly water as a result of what you might just call a 36-48 hour "carb up". So give it a couple more days and the water will drop. If you had a good "burn rate" set up w/ your dieting, it may take a little while to get that re-established, but its just a short spike in your diet schedule.

I don't know if you have cheat days scheduled in your diet, but unless you're on a tight track into a competition date, its good to have a cheat day scheduled to shock your metabolism as well as to have a scheduled outlet for the urges.

For future ref, I'd probably keep in mind that you can expect to get sugar urges around TOTM - so plan accordingly

I find the cravings unbearable and yes I cheat the day before I get my flow. Just get back on your diet and what Sassy suggested about the scheduled cheat days incorporated into that time of the month is great advice.
