Since oral steroids clear in just a few days/weeks it was probably the hardest Olympia ever on the liver.

I saw that show in person because it was in Chicago. Many of the guys were not as big or ripped as usual (Haney, Gaspari, Labrada) and some were better than ever or as good as ever (Christian, Benefatto and Shawn Ray). Others were way, way off (Ron Love, Mike Quinn, Vince Taylor). Lots of guys failed the test including Berry DeMey, Momo Beneziza, Vince Comerford, Alq Qurley). It was obvious that the drug testing had not been perfected yet and many of the guys were just passing the test and not really clean. Shawn Ray looked as good here as he did at the Arnold when he failed the test. Christian was better than ever.

I don't know why Christian didn't place higher. His legs were always a little weak but Haney's were too that year. I would have had Mike in the top 2.

Alq didn't do the O in 1990.

He won the NPC Nationals and IFBB World that year.

man, I totally remember this show. I actually had a few bets out there with people cause I was so sure Labrada would win.
