Tom Brady... don't like him... but he's The GOAT, and I don't think there's a close 2nd.

My rule was nobody comes back from 24 points down, but I guess it's 25 now.
"I know what your thinking. Did I fire 5 shots or did I fire 6 shots. You gotta ask yourself, Do you feel lucky? Well do ya, Punk?"

Down 25 and come back to Win in OT
Tom Brady does it again...
Man... That guy and Belichick just don't want to lose. That was absolutely surreal.2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

The NFL thread
I think Joe had much better personnel around him... thst early 49ers defense had at least 6 pro bowlers on it and one year all 4 of their DBs were selected to pro bowl.
On offense, he had(with the exception of the first SB win), Jerry Rice, who makes any QB better, as well as Roger Craig, who defined the "all-around" back.
i'd ask you how things would go if you put Brady on those 49ers teams? They may have one more.

All valid points and I do agree with you. But fact of the matter is NFL rules these days are way more beneficial to a qb than past years. To argue that nobody is even close is asinine.

You can't compare a QB 20-30 years ago to a modern day QB.
While Montana is great, Aikman is great, and all the other legendary QB's lets put the #'s on the table here real quick.
Brady -- > 5 Rings
Brady --> only QB to win in OT in a Superbowl.
Brady --> Only QB to come back from 25 Points down
Brady --> Most Yards ever thrown in a Superbowl.

Brandy also had videos of the other teams practices fot the first 2 and maybe 3 Superbowl. A lot easier to game plan when you know what the defense is going to do.

I don't want to stray from my initial point. I do think that given what he has he's the best. However definitely not far and away. The combo of him and Belichick is one for the ages. The only problem I have is you just can't throw out the "Spygate" scandal and then to a lesser extent "Deflate Gate " out the window. They definitely had an impact on the superbowl runs.

Brady was not video taping practices that would be the organization and their coach
thats not even close to the point here . We are talking about a player and his stats
not about other i kigstions that have to have to do with numbers on a field and a players oerformance
its like trying to compare Jordan to steph curry or lebron James. Can't .... both were great inntheirnera
who is the best? Thought to be accurate2013 & 2014 RX Member of the Year

It's obvious he wasn't taping practices. But when a game plan is scripted with knowledge of what the other team is running you can't say he didn't have an advantage.

Also as great as he is he did cheat, that can't be denied. He went so far as to destroy his cell phone to cover that up. Until someone comes up with some proof of Joe Montana having video of other team'so walk throughso I'll put Brady #1 with an asterisk by his name and give the title of best ever to Montana by default.

Your missing the point
THIS IS NOT BRADY. this has nothing to do with Brady's Stats. Teams trade game film every year, and record games and they study them to plan their offenese and defense for the upcoming games. Hence they strategy.
You can bring up deflategate, and the spying etc. Guess what a lot of other organizations have done some shady things. Does that really influence the 100's of games brady has played? Does that sway what he did in this superbowl? no not at all. He did not get 5 rings based off recording another teams practice. That has nothing to do with this argument or comparison.
you are trying to compare Montana and brady. When you put them on paper what are you comparing? Stats, Numbers, Superbowls.
Your not comparing what the corporation or organization did or has done.
This has nothing to do with comparing numbers, and how good of a QB Someone is.
If you were comparing Belichick to another HOF Coach then yes its a different story. But we are talking stats, numbers, and rings here. What they have accomplished.
