Guy Claims Warm Up Room Video Footage Is Invasive Of Women
Jason Lannigan wrote, "How about giving women privacy backstage?
This is ridiculous! Akila can't even warm up without some guy focused on her breasts. Look at all the other men with cameras roaming around."
He complained about the Larissa Reis post photoshoot video with RxMuscle a few weeks ago. Are women in need of protecting from the sport and industry doers? Should the National Organization of Women be contacted for assistance? Hell I thought women built muscle and bought big boobs in order to be noticed.

They should find something else to do if he doesn't like people looking! This guy is crazy if he doesn't like the Larissa Reis photoshoot/training video. I think he's just trying to bring attention to whoever Akila is!? I would like to see her breast now after reading this!

I don't think anyone will succeed in removing the sexual element from physique sports.
Nor should they succeed!

At least Jason is consistant as he criticizes not just the person videoing someone with big boobs, but also Akila.
Bad USAMuscle! Bad Akila! Give us proper training videos in sweats and burka!
Women's Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure & Bikini Rep Jason Lannigan goes on to write, "USAMuscle filmed the Pump Up room backstage at the USAs. I assume hours of film of dozens of women. They add the one clip of Akila to their YouTube account (I can't find any other 2009 NPC USAs clip). Its obvious to me why her clip was added to their account, it's not because of her triceps or delts, it's because her breasts are huge and almost falling out.
I do remember their being some controversy at that show because she didn't wear a top that covered everything."

They should just have female physique competitors show their bodies only to the judges who will be made up of only straight women.
People are morons

I see your point.
The lack of faith in a woman's ability to be independent, sexy and smart at the same time without having a man interject and interceed on their un-empowered behalf amazes me sometimes.
Paternalism is no more respectful of a womans' rights and abilities than is misogyny.

I used to produce videos backstage of the Pro women pumping up. (2001 Jan Tana, 2002 USA Pro Cup, 2003 Jan Tana) I stopped doing it because the pro women just dont want to be videotaped backstage. And I see their point. When you go onstage you are on display, but if you are shooting backstage, you have to respect a competitors privacy. Dont stick a video camera in someones face if they dont like it. It's not cool. A professional videographer working backstage can pick up on this. They don't HAVE to do a show for you. They are not onstage and maybe they want their concentration. Or maybe they have a website and are protective of their image.

I think if she was uncomfortable she'd move elsewhere or ask the photographers/videographers to leave...

lol, actually I do like him while I examine his forum accomplishments seemingly herding women together like cows. His technique is not only a textbook case in successfully developing the female physique audience, but a testament to how most women in the physique sports wish to be presented and how they want their man to behave.
-Some might say he is the ultimate schmoe.
-Others might say he is more feminine and more in touch with his feminine side than the majority of women in the sport.
-I'm still trying to figure it out.
