What are your macro nutrient totals
With the posts about if resistance training is even beneficial without proper protein intake, it got me wondering: How much protein/carbs/fats do you guys/gals consume offseason and precontest.
Conditioning totals are as follows...
I have found with myself noticeable gains increasing from to roughly 300 grams a day of protein...any more doesn't seem to do much but raise my blood sugar. So I have always thought of it as overkill. I know some guys are eating well over 500. Not that there are any rights or wrongs.
While dieting I now have to drop my carbs to roughly 175-200 (it will get lower) and keep fats a minimum roughly 15-20 grams. I basically sit behind a computer all damn day. Back when I was personal training full time I could literally eat double.
Keep in mind I am early in on my diet. I started cleaning it up 6 weeks ago, and for the last 3.5 actually following a plan. I started at roughly 230 and now weigh 218lbs with with nothing on...pic from this morning.

The last study I saw came to the conclusion that one can consume 20 grams of protein per meal. I find it very hard to believe that a 90lb bikini competitor can eat what I eat and I can ea what Jay Cutler eats...

bout 300g protein, 150 carbs, 75 fat
190lbs, 13-14% BF

im doing daves keto but i dropped the fats by 300 cals so i think it comes out to 2300 cals total not sure on the exact macro percentages..each meal approx 50 g pro and then like half cup of cashews or a tbl spoon of peanut butter...with a few tweeks here and there

Currently putting on lean size. I am 220lbs at about 7-8% body fat. I have a progress log in the journals section. Right now I'm eating roughly:
Protein 1.5g/lb LBM = 325g
Carbs: 2.5g/lb LBM = 525g
Fat: ~.25g/lb LBM = 35-50g
