    I don't eat even 5% of the stuff on your list?

    Haven't had diet soda in decades.

    My diet (at least pre-contest) would all fit into one post, with plenty of space left over. This list makes the bodybuilder's diet seem rich and varied, which is 180 degrees opposite from my experience!

    ^^^this is not very good. you should try to have some variety .

    take out all the canned foods way too much sodium and sugar.. never eat canned foods ever...

    my list
    fillet steak
    chicken breast
    tilapia
    egg whites
    irish oats (steel cut)
    brown rice, long grain
    sweet potatoes (i like the white ones)
    freshly ground almond butter (whole foods, delish!!!)
    low sodium pasta sauce (1/4 cup per day over fish)
    broccoli
    spinach

    ... and that is it...

    I think most say you should aim for around .5g of healthy fats per lb lean mass. Are you sure you are getting that from your one source of fats, almond butter? Maybe the meats you eat are very fatty, but animal fats are the least healthy. I would recommend eating lean meats and adding olive oil, fish oil, and/or sesame oil. I also add seasonings, such as lemon juice, veggies (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, celery) for flavor.
