Chris, what do you think about sugar alcohols found in "sugar free" gums? do they count as carbs?
should we avoid chewing a lot of gums precontest?...well maybe limit it to a couple pieces?
thanks..

Chris, your books championship bodybuilding and fat loss, although they were written years ago, do you still stand by them? or have you changed your mind on a few things?

yes sugar alcohols count as carbs...thats essnetially what they look like to the body even though they do not increase insulin. They are not protein and they are not fats so they must be carbs right?

Chris,
I mentioned this was my first week of pre-contest dieting. I usually drop a good 3 pounds of water weight the first week but this week I've only dropped 1 pound the first week. I had dropped carbs close to 25% and fat about 30%. The off season numbers were 245p-270c-58f. Now pre-contest I'm 225p-200c-40f and then adding 1 high carb day. Based on the 1 pound drop did I cut too much in the way of food? Cardio also increased from 2 days off season to 4 days Thanks!

Out of curiosity had my weight been at a standstill would you have gone up in calories or down? I'm hungry so I know I'm in some sort of deficit.

Chris,
I am 10 weeks out from a show, I am maintaining a lot of muscle, fat is coming off slower then usual. I am following your low, med, and high carb day diet cycle, with high intensity cardio. Should i keep all 6 meals in or cut it down to 5? and I am a heavyweight.
Thank you

early a.m. cardio
Chris - so if I understand this correct, the best time for cardio is early morning on an empty stomache. Someone here asked you if it is ok to take BCAA's before this a.m. cardio? But won't the body then use these Aminos for fuel? - rather than have are "true" empty stomache?
Also, if you gonna say that is ok to use "Aminos" prior to that a.m. "empty stomache" - cardio, I have SciFits Liquid Aminos that have zero carbs in them but a sweetener - would I be ok to use these prior to the a.m. cardio?
sorry, one more when u say "high intensity cardio" - can you please describe in a few words what that looks like.
thank you very much Chris - much appreciated! - BB

Chris, can all people loose weight while eatting carbs? I know this will be person to person but is it possible?
And is eatting carbs during a diet the only way to keep fullness to the muscle bellies?
