hey chris,
so i was running a ket diet similar to palumbos for the last 7 weeks or so. i usually use the methods in your books but i wanted to give this a go as i have some clients using it with great success.
i went into the hospital this week with a bleeding ulcer. needless to say i wont be doing the show i was planning on doing in 8 weeks on account of needing to let my stomach heel.
so my question is this.
1. how do i transition from the very low carbs i was on to now going back to eating them? im probably just going to go back on more of an off season eating plan. this is kind of a blessing in disguise as i didnt really think i made the gains i could have.
2. what are some changes i should make to my diet taking into account the ulcer?

hey chris,
As an 18 year old hardgainer what is the best percentage range of my max heart rate to train (cardio) in to benefit conditioning and minimize fat burn.

Chris, two questions brother!
1. When doing interval on an empty stomach when you are most carb depleted, doesn't that cause your body to shift to burning muscle?
2. What do you think about this statement? "When calories are low and carbs are introduced your insulin levels spike, which causes your body to shift into eating muscle since fat cannot be released"
Thank man!

So for the most part, this is how you like your clients to diet.
Start off with low carbs, higher cardio.
at 10 percent roughly, increase carbs and decrease cardio so mass isn't lost yes?

chris i was reading one of your old articles called eating for mass in flex mag. it was a calorie cycle diet where u play around with carbs and protein, and from memory, you say to eat up to 900g of carbs for some of those days...isnt this overkill? 900g??? guys would turn into a blob taking in that many. i dont know i'm still thinking about giving it a go

Chris,
As far as Kreoxipump I've been using it about 20 min before training (which is about 45 min after my first meal of the day). Does that sound about right or should I have it when I walk into the gym?

Chris-
I loved your article about good carbs VS Bad, it really makes sense, because the leaner you get the more insulin senstastive you become, kinda like after a show when you can eat and grow more..
I am trying to put on some good LEAN mass this year, I decided to take 2010 off to do that, I have dieted for the last 12 weeks to get myself lean, so I dont become a fat ass while gaining LEAN muscle..
how would you make a transition from dieting to gaining without adding bodyfat??
would you drop cardio complety?
would you train less, for example go from training 5 days a week to 4?
Thanks in advance for your time..

Since I am a hardgainer and trying to put on weight, how long would that cardio session last, what would be the ratio of high intensity to low intensity ( 1 minute fast 1 minute slow?) and how many times a week
Thanks for the help i appreciate the tips from someone as intelligent as you
